Flood Advisory issued June 9 at 9:12PM EDT until June 10 at 12:15AM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Ohio, including the following counties, Lucas and Wood. * WHEN...Until 1215 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 912 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Toledo, Bowling Green, Perrysburg, Oregon, Rossford, Waterville, Northwood, Holland, Maumee, Walbridge, Pemberville, Millbury, Haskins, Luckey, Tontogany and Stony Ridge. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
