Air Quality Alert issued July 19 at 10:28AM EDT by NWS State College PA The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert for a portion of south-central Pennsylvania including Cambria and Somerset Counties for Sunday, July 19th. Wildfire smoke from northern Minnesota and south central Canada will result in air quality that may be unhealthy for sensitive groups for today. A Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases, and the elderly.
