Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 18 at 7:09PM EDT until July 18 at 7:45PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA At 709 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from over Economy to 6 miles north of Wintersville, or along a line from near Franklin Park to 8 miles northwest of Steubenville, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Ross Township, McCandless Township, Cranberry, Moon Township, Weirton, Franklin Park, East Liverpool, Aliquippa, Beaver Falls, Monaca, Wellsville, Hampton Township, Robinson Township, Economy, Kennedy Township, Ambridge, Wexford and New Brighton. Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing widespread damaging winds. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
