Southeastern Lamoille County in northwestern Vermont... * Until midnight EDT tonight. * At 956 PM EDT, emergency management reported flash flooding in Wolcott. East Hill Road is washed out near Young Road and is impassable. Additional thunderstorms capable of producing torrential rainfall are expected through midnight tonight. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Wolcott, Elmore, Woodbury, Hardwick, Craftsbury, Greensboro, Morristown, Lake Elmore and Elmore State Park. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
