Tabor, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and powerlines. Locations impacted include... Barre, Chester, St. Johnsbury, Woodstock, Montpelier, Braintree Hill, Bradford, Websterville, Pomfret, Hartland, Worcester, Middlesex, Marshfield, Cabot Village, Fairlee, Sharon, Washington, Woodbury, Newbury, and Williamstown. This includes the following highways... Interstate 89 between mile markers 1 and 62. Interstate 91 between mile markers 39 and 71, near mile marker 73, between mile markers 75 and 91, between mile markers 94 and 116, near mile marker 118, and between mile markers 120 and 134. Interstate 93 between mile markers 1 and 11. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Extreme Heat Warning issued July 1 at 2:24PM EDT until July 3 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Burlington VT * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105. * WHERE...The Champlain Valley of New York and Vermont, as well as eastern Windsor County in Vermont. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest heat index values will occur between 1 PM and 5 PM daily through Friday. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.
