Flood Advisory issued July 20 at 9:43PM CDT until July 21 at 12:45AM CDT by NWS Green Bay WI * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Door County in northeastern Wisconsin... * WHEN...Until 1245 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 943 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Heavy rain will continue over the following locations... Rock Island around 945 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by heavy rain include Washington Island and Rock Island State Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Beach Hazards Statement issued July 20 at 3:44PM CDT until July 21 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Green Bay WI * WHAT...High waves and dangerous currents expected. * WHERE...Beaches along Lake Michigan in Door, Kewaunee and Manitowoc Counties. * WHEN...Through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming conditions are expected. Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water and high waves can sweep people off piers. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Several beaches that will be most susceptible to the dangerous swimming conditions include... Rock Island State Beach, Baileys Harbor beaches and Whitefish Dunes Beach in Door County. Cresent Beach and City of Kewaunee Beach in Kewaunee County. Point Beach, Neshotah Beach and Red Arrow Beach in Manitowoc County. Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
