Northeastern Jefferson County in central Colorado... Southwestern Adams County in northeastern Colorado... West Central Denver County in northeastern Colorado... * Until 400 PM MDT. * At 314 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Wheat Ridge, or 10 miles west of Denver, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * This severe thunderstorm will be near... Lakewood and Golden around 315 PM MDT. Wheat Ridge and Arvada around 325 PM MDT. Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Pleasant View, Edgewater and Mountain View. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT Monday for a portion of northeast Colorado.

Red Flag Warning issued June 8 at 1:03PM MDT until June 9 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Denver CO The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Tuesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 240, 241, 242, 243, 244, 245, 246, 247, 248, 249, 250 and 251. * TIMING...From noon to 9 PM MDT Tuesday. * WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
