Fire Weather Watch issued June 8 at 11:17AM MDT until June 11 at 8:00PM MDT by NWS Grand Junction CO The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect until 10 PM MDT this evening. A Red Flag Warning has also been issued from 10 AM to 10 PM MDT Tuesday. In addition, a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels has been issued. This Red Flag Warning is in effect from 10 AM to 10 PM MDT Wednesday. In addition, a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels has been issued. This Fire Weather Watch is in effect from Thursday morning through Thursday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 294 Southwest Colorado Upper West Forecast Area. * TIMING...For the first Red Flag Warning, until 10 PM MDT this evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from 10 AM to 10 PM MDT Tuesday. For the third Red Flag Warning, from 10 AM to 10 PM MDT Wednesday. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Thursday morning through Thursday evening. * WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...7 to 12 percent. * IMPACTS...Elevated fire danger is expected. Fires will catch and spread rapidly and erratically. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly.
