Flood Advisory issued June 4 at 12:30AM MDT until June 4 at 2:30AM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Curry County in east central New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 230 AM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1229 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving slowly south across Curry County. This will cause urban and small stream flooding, including portions of U.S. Highways 60/84 and 70. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.25 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Clovis, Texico, Cannon Air Force Base and Portair. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
