Heat Advisory issued June 21 at 3:38PM CDT until June 21 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Lubbock TX * WHAT...Temperatures up to 106 on the Caprock, and heat indices as high as 109 off the Caprock. * WHERE...The South Plains, Rolling Plains, and far southeastern Texas Panhandle. * WHEN...Until 9 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
