Flood Advisory issued June 24 at 9:07PM MDT until June 25 at 12:00AM MDT by NWS Denver CO * WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...South Central Logan County in northeastern Colorado... Northeastern Morgan County in northeastern Colorado... Northeastern Washington County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 907 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fort Morgan, Brush, Merino, Hillrose, Prewitt Reservoir, Midway, Snyder, Antelope Springs, Messex, Union, Fremont Butte and Fort Morgan Airport. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
