Special Weather Statement issued May 16 at 5:34AM MDT by NWS Great Falls MT Southwest to west winds will continue to increase through the morning hours, becoming strong and gusty this afternoon. Sustained wind speeds of between 30 to 40 mph, with gusts approaching 60 mph, will be common from the late morning through afternoon hours. Travelers should be prepared for strong cross winds, especially if operating high profile vehicles. Know your vehicles limits.
