High temperatures will range from 91 to 101 Saturday, and 95 to 105 Sunday and Monday. * WHERE...Western and central North Dakota * WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through late Monday night. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight low temperatures will only drop to around 70 degrees, providing little relief from the heat. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

Special Weather Statement issued July 9 at 6:47AM CDT by NWS Bismarck ND At 647 AM CDT /547 AM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms centered 7 miles southeast of Fort Union Trading Post, or 21 miles southwest of Williston, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Williston, Alexander, Fort Union Trading Post, East Fairview, Trenton, Charbonneau, Cartwright and Fort Buford State Historical Site. Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions.
