Red Flag Warning issued July 17 at 6:55AM PDT until July 17 at 7:00AM PDT by NWS Spokane WA ...GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY 703,704,705 FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING... .Additional showers and storms will track through Northern Washington and North Idaho this morning with a decreasing trend from south to north. Dry and breezy conditions will develop in portions of central Washington Friday afternoon. A sharp wind shift from south to west will impact the Waterville Plateau Friday evening. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible through 730 AM then the threat will wane.

Special Weather Statement issued July 17 at 6:40AM PDT by NWS Spokane WA At 640 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Cheney to 7 miles south of Green Acres. Movement was north at 35 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Spokane, Spokane Valley, Cheney, Liberty Lake, Airway Heights, Nine Mile Falls, Millwood, Otis Orchards-East Farms, Fairwood, Suncrest, Fairchild AFB, Otis Orchards, Green Acres, Trentwood, Country Homes, Chattaroy, Town And Country, Dishman, Mead, and Newman Lake. This includes the following highways... Interstate 90 in Washington between mile markers 269 and 298. U.S. Highway 195 in Washington between mile markers 81 and 95. U.S. Highway 395 in Washington between mile markers 165 and 177. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
