Fire Weather Watch issued June 7 at 12:54PM MDT until June 10 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 434, 435, 436, 437, 430, 431, 432, 433. * WIND...West to southwest winds 15 to 30 MPH with frequent gusts up to 40 MPH. * HUMIDITY...8 to 14 percent. Overnight recoveries as low as 25 percent. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.

Special Weather Statement issued June 7 at 4:35PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY Gusty showers are ongoing across portions of southeast Wyoming, with a few sensors gusting between 50 and 55 mph as showers move past. These showers are anticipated to continue throughout much of the evening, likely until 10PM tonight. Use caution if traveling along Interstate 25 or Interstate 80 in southeast Wyoming, as sudden, erratic gusts to 55 mph will be possible.
