Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued June 22 at 12:49PM MDT until June 22 at 8:00PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 376 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NEBRASKA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 8 COUNTIES IN PANHANDLE NEBRASKA BANNER BOX BUTTE CHEYENNE DAWES KIMBALL MORRILL SCOTTS BLUFF SIOUX IN WYOMING THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL WYOMING CONVERSE NIOBRARA IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING GOSHEN LARAMIE PLATTE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AGATE, ALLIANCE, ANGORA, BAYARD, BILL, BORDEAUX, BRIDGEPORT, BROWNSON, CHADRON, CHADRON ST PARK, CHEYENNE, DEER CREEK, DOUGLAS, GERING, GLENROCK, GUERNSEY, HARRISBURG, HARRISON, HEMINGFORD, KIMBALL, LUSK, REDBIRD, REDINGTON, SCOTTSBLUFF, SIDNEY, TORRINGTON, AND WHEATLAND.

Special Weather Statement issued June 22 at 7:39PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY At 739 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles southwest of Westview Circle, or 14 miles west of Wheatland, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Wheatland, Chugwater, Phifer Airfield, Chugcreek, Lakeview North, Bordeaux, Westview Circle, Y-O Ranch, Slater, Platte County Fairgrounds, and Antelope Gap. This includes Interstate 25 in Wyoming between mile markers 48 and 87. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM MDT for southeastern Wyoming.
