Red Flag Warning issued June 20 at 2:53PM AKDT until June 21 at 10:00PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK * AFFECTED AREA...Middle Yukon Valley, Lower Yukon and Innoko Valleys, North Slopes of the Western Alaska Range and Upper Kuskokwim Valley. * TIMING...Until 10 PM AKDT Sunday. * THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INDEX...Scattered. * WINDS...Near thunderstorms, gusts could reach as high as 40 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 25 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Highs in the mid 80s. Lows in the upper 40s. * IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected this weekend due to a combination of thunderstorm activity, temperatures reaching into the upper 70s to low 80s, relative humidities near 25 percent, and gusty winds. A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to the public. Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the field of this Red Flag Warning.
