Red Flag Warning issued June 21 at 2:13PM AKDT until June 21 at 10:00PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK * AFFECTED AREA...Middle Yukon Valley and Lower Yukon and Innoko Valleys. * TIMING...Until 10 PM AKDT this evening. * THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INDEX...Scattered. * WINDS...Northwest 5 to 10 mph. Near thunderstorms, gusts could reach as high as 30 mph. * IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected due to a scattered wet thunderstorms across the interior. These storms will bring frequent lightning strikes and gusty winds that are expected to cause new fire ignitions. We plan to update this product by 10 PM AKDT or when lightning diminishes this evening. A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to the public. Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the field of this Red Flag Warning.
