Winter Weather Advisory issued March 2 at 4:07AM AKST until March 3 at 10:00AM AKST by NWS Anchorage AK * WHAT...Blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. Southeast winds gusting as high as 40 mph. Visibility reduced to a half mile or less at times. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta coast. * WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 10 AM AKST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Blowing snow is already reducing visibility along the Kuskokwim Delta coast and on Nunivak Island. Conditions will worsen when new snow begins to fall later this morning for Nunivak Island, spreading eastward to the coast by this afternoon. Blowing snow will quickly reduce visibility as east to southeasterly sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph continue into the event. Conditions improve Sunday morning as snow intensity decreases and temperatures warm. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
