yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 11:37 a.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain. Thunderstorm Location: Over Nipigon Motion: Moving southeast at 50 km/h Hazards: Wind: strong (up to 80 km/h) Hail: up to quarter size (up to 2.5 cm) Rain: very heavy (50 - 100 mm) Locations in the Path: Nipigon Ruby Lake Provincial Park Red Rock Rossport ### Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Don't drive through flooded roadways. Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
