yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 4:08 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain. A cluster of severe thunderstorms near and north of Highway 20 are moving northwestwards at 45 km/h. Areas to be impacted in the next hour include: - Itcha Ilgachuz Provincial Park - Nimpo lake - Anahim Lake - Tweedsmuir Provincial Park ### Driving conditions will likely be difficult. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail.
