Dash Hill Weather Warnings

yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 2:50 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain. A severe thunderstorm is located between Chilanko Forks and Redstone and is moving northwards at a speed of 45 km/h. Areas to be impacted in the next hour include: - Highway 20 between Chilanko Forks and Redstone - Puntzi Lake - Chilanko Forks - Redstone A second cluster of severe thunderstorms is located near and north of Tatla Lake and is moving north-northwestwards at 45 km/h. Areas to be impacted in the next hour include: - Towdystan - Nimpo Lake - Tatla Lake - Highway 20 between Tatla Lake and Anahim Lake. ### Driving conditions will likely be difficult. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/.
