yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 11:35 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very heavy rain. Numerous thunderstorms are affecting the region. Motion: Slowly southeastward. Hazards: Rain: very heavy (50 - 100 mm) ### Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
