orange warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 4:55 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain. Thunderstorm Location: From Walsh to Fort Walsh to southwest of Consul Motion: Moving quickly to the east at 65 km/h Hazards: Wind: damaging (110 - 129 km/h) Hail: up to loonie size (3 cm) Rain: heavy (15 - 50 mm) Locations in the Path: Fort Walsh Cypress Hills Provincial Park Walsh Cypress Lake Consul Robsart Maple Creek ### Utility outages are likely. Significant damage to buildings and/or trees is likely. Large hail will likely cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. If you hear roaring wind, see a funnel cloud, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately.
