Remarks: A developing low pressure system over central Alberta continues to support scattered thunderstorms this evening over west-central Saskatchewan. The threat for tornadoes will persist late this evening and will diminish after midnight. ### Significant damage or destruction to infrastructure, homes and the natural environment is possible. Tornado watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris. Be prepared for severe weather. If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take cover immediately. When out on the water, be prepared for severe weather. If threatening weather approaches make for shore and take shelter immediately. It is particularly dangerous to be on a small craft on the open water when lightning is occurring.

Timing: Late this evening. Location: Eastern Saskatchewan into western Manitoba. Hazards: - 2 to 4 cm hail. - 30 to 60 mm of rainfall, locally. - Gusty winds. Remarks: Thunderstorms continue this evening over parts of central Saskatchewan and western Manitoba. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe. The thunderstorm threat will diminish late this evening. ### Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure. Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles. Large hail can cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
