red warning - tornado - in effect At 1:10 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. Tornado Location: Near Marysville and also near Gananoque. Motion: Moving quickly to the southeast at 80 km/h Locations in the Path: Eastview, Willowbank, Marysville, Gananoque ### This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornado warnings are issued when a thunderstorm is producing or is likely to produce a tornado. Take cover immediately in a basement, interior room, or a sturdy shelter when threatening weather approaches. If no shelter is available, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris. If you are out on the water when threatening weather approaches, return to shore and seek shelter, if possible. Otherwise, move away from the path of the tornado to escape. Wear your lifejacket, lie face down and protect your head. Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 1:25 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts and very heavy rain. Thunderstorm Location: Amherstview to Charleston Lake Provincial Park Motion: Moving southeast at 30 km/h Hazards: Wind: strong (up to 90 km/h) Rain: heavy (30 - 50 mm) Locations in the Path: Amherstview, Codes Corner, Kingston, Mallorytown, Lansdowne, Willowbank, Gananoque, Ivy Lea, Marysville, Rockport ### Local utility outages are likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
