orange warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 3:58 a.m. CDT (4:58 a.m. EDT), Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain. Thunderstorm Location: extending from Mattawa Lake to White Otter Lake Motion: Moving quickly to the east at 60 km/h Hazards: Wind: damaging (100 - 120 km/h) Hail: up to quarter size (up to 2.5 cm) Rain: heavy (15 - 50 mm) Locations in the Path: White Otter Lake Gulliver Lake Selwyn Lake Bishop Lake Scotch Lake Wawang Lake Weaver Lake Pakashkan Lake Bedivere Lake Mooseland Lake ### Utility outages are likely. Significant damage to buildings and/or trees is likely. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. When thunder roars, go indoors! Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.
