Northeastern Santa Rosa County in northwestern Florida... * Until 730 PM CDT. * At 337 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Atmore, Brewton, Jackson, Thomasville, Flomaton, Frisco City, Grove Hill, McCullough, East Brewton, Uriah, Whatley, Excel, Fulton, Repton, Pollard, Riverview, I65 And AL 113, I65 And AL 21, Poarch Creek Reservation and I65 And CR 1. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Storms will bring additional heavy rain today resulting in a continued threat of flash flooding, especially as soils are very saturated. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Atmore, Frisco City, McCullough, Uriah, Castleberry, Excel, Repton, I65 And CR 1, I65 And AL 113, I65 And AL 21, and Poarch Creek Reservation. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
