Flood Warning issued June 19 at 10:36AM CDT by NWS Mobile AL ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Mississippi... Leaf Near McLain affecting Perry, Greene and George Counties. For the Leaf River...including McLain, New Augusta...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Leaf near McLain. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, some county roads in the area will become flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 22.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 24.5 feet early Tuesday afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Flood Watch issued June 19 at 7:03AM CDT until June 19 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Mobile AL * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Alabama, including the following areas, Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Mobile Central, Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe, Washington and Wilcox, northwest Florida, including the following areas, Escambia Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa Coastal and Santa Rosa Inland, and southeast Mississippi, including the following areas, George, Greene, Perry, Stone and Wayne. * WHEN...Until 6 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Another round of storms are likely to develop today resulting in a continued threat of flash flooding, especially as soils are very saturated.
