Flood Warning issued June 8 at 7:46PM CDT until June 12 at 4:00AM CDT by NWS New Orleans LA ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Louisiana...Mississippi... Pearl River Near Bogalusa affecting Washington Parish and Pearl River County. Pearl River Near Pearl River affecting St. Tammany Parish, Hancock County, and Pearl River County. For the Lower Pearl River...including Bogalusa, Pearl River...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Pearl River near Bogalusa. * WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, Woodlands and crop acreage along the river will be flooded. The Bogue Chitto Wildlife Management area will be inundated with water in recreational camps and over access roads. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 18.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:00 PM CDT Saturday was 18.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon then begin falling. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
