Brazos River at Richmond affecting Fort Bend County. For the Brazos River...including US 59, Sugar Land, TX, Richmond, Rosharon...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Brazos River at Richmond. * WHEN...From this morning to early Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 45.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins as water escapes the main channel below the gauge. Livestock operations near Thompsons are affected and precautions should be taken to protect cattle including potential relocation in low lying areas. Baudet Road southeast of Richmond and Redbird Lane in Fulshear are threatened. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 44.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 45.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday afternoon. - Flood stage is 45.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 45.3 feet on 06/08/1979. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
