Flash Flood Warning issued June 5 at 12:37PM CDT until June 5 at 3:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX FFWHGX The National Weather Service in League City has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Harris County in southeastern Texas... * Until 300 PM CDT. * At 1237 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 4 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Northwestern Pasadena, Galena Park, Tomball, Jacinto City, Jersey Village, Hunters Creek Village, Piney Point Village, Northside / Northline, Spring Valley, Greater Greenspoint, Spring Branch North, Greater Heights, Aldine, Memorial Park, Spring Branch West, Afton Oaks / River Oaks Area, Near Northside Houston, Fourth Ward, Neartown / Montrose and Downtown Houston. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Flood Advisory issued June 5 at 11:34AM CDT until June 5 at 1:30PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Harris, Montgomery and Waller. * WHEN...Until 130 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1134 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
