Heat Advisory issued July 1 at 1:44PM EDT until July 3 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Gray ME * WHAT...For the both of the Heat Advisories, heat index values up to 104. * WHERE...Southern Somerset and Southern Franklin Counties. * WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this evening. For the second Heat Advisory, from 11 AM Thursday to 8 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
