Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 21 at 6:57PM EDT until June 21 at 7:15PM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN At 656 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 11 miles north of Brazil to 8 miles north of Spencer to near Bloomfield, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Greencastle, Brazil, Linton, Rockville, Bloomfield, Spencer, Ellettsville, Jasonville, Cloverdale, Worthington, Seelyville, Dugger, Knightsville, Clay City, Gosport, Hymera, Bainbridge, Lyons, Rosedale, and Carlisle. This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 18 and 52. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for southwestern and west central Indiana. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until midnight EDT for central, south central, southwestern and west central Indiana. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
