Air Quality Alert issued July 17 at 11:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection - Air Quality Division has issued a Code RED Air Quality Alert Friday for eastern West Virgina panhandle outside the eastern panhandle. A Code Red Air Quality Alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region are unhealthy for the general population. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
