Heat Advisory issued July 11 at 6:45PM EDT until July 12 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL * WHAT...Heat index values up to 107 expected. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. * WHEN...From 11 AM to 7 PM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Flood Advisory issued July 11 at 6:58PM EDT until July 11 at 9:00PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central Duval County in northeastern Florida... * WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 657 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jacksonville, Jacksonville International Arpt, Riverside, San Marco, Normandy, Cisco Gardens, Oceanway, Baymeadows and Tallyrand. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
