Neosho River near Parsons affecting Neosho and Labette Counties. Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County. Neosho River at Oswego affecting Cherokee and Labette Counties. Neosho River near Chanute affecting Neosho and Allen Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River near Chanute. * WHEN...From Monday afternoon to early Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, The right bank overflows and agricultural flooding can be expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 11.7 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. In southeast Kansas, Chautauqua, Elk, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional round of showers and storms producing heavy rainfall will be possible this evening into tonight, causing additional flooding. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
