Neosho River at Oswego affecting Cherokee and Labette Counties. Neosho River near Parsons affecting Neosho and Labette Counties. Neosho River at Iola affecting Allen County. Neosho River near Chanute affecting Allen and Neosho Counties. Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River near Chanute. * WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 31.0 feet, A few isolated dwellings in the eastern outskirts of Chanute are subject to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 31.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Tuesday afternoon and continue falling to 8.8 feet early Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

Flood Warning issued April 28 at 9:10PM CDT until April 29 at 9:30AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Allen, Elk, Greenwood, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson. * WHEN...Until 930 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 909 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Between 3 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. Many roads are still impassable and include two U.S. Highways. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Parsons, Chanute, Iola, Eureka, Neodesha, Fredonia, Humboldt, Yates Center, Erie, Madison, St. Paul, La Harpe, Gas, Moran, Thayer, Altoona, Longton, Toronto, Hamilton and Severy. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
