Flood Warning issued June 16 at 8:40PM CDT until June 17 at 9:25PM CDT by NWS Corpus Christi TX ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Rio Grande At Laredo affecting Webb County. For the Rio Grande...including Columbia Bridge, Laredo...Minor flooding is forecast. - Forecast...The river is near its crest of 10.8 feet (3.3 meters). It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet (2.4 meters). - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over higher ground. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
