Special Weather Statement issued July 3 at 11:28PM EDT by NWS State College PA At 1128 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Mifflinburg to 20 miles west of Selinsgrove to 13 miles northeast of Lewistown. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Mifflinburg, McClure, and Troxelville around 1135 PM EDT. Vicksburg, Paxtonville, and Middleburg around 1140 PM EDT. Kreamer, Mount Pleasant Mills, and Fremont around 1145 PM EDT. Kratzerville around 1150 PM EDT. Selinsgrove, Hummels Wharf, and Shamokin Dam around 1155 PM EDT. Port Trevorton around 1200 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Beavertown, Liverpool, Wagner, Thompsontown, and East Salem. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
