Little Sioux River near Milford affecting Dickinson County. Little Sioux River at Cherokee affecting Cherokee County. Little Sioux River at Spencer affecting Clay County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Little Sioux River at Cherokee. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Cherokee city park begins to flood on the south bank of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 18.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:00 PM CDT Friday was 18.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Sunday evening and continue rising to 17.1 feet Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
