Winds gusting as high as 60 mph. * WHERE...Elkhorn, Boulder, and Centennial Mountain Ranges, Gallatin and Madison County Mountains, and Upper Blackfoot and MacDonald Pass. * WHEN...From 6 PM Tuesday to midnight MDT Wednesday Night. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible and tire chains may be required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure they have appropriate knowledge and gear and may want to consider alternate plans. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
